Circle of Love

Circle of Love graphic with heart and cross design

The Circle of Love depicts the focus of CDA activity.  Each spoke is bound together by the common interest:

Love.  The seven points indicate the needs of the Church and community best served by the Catholic Daughters.

The Education spoke, through education contests and scholarships for both youth and adults, provides opportunities to share God-given talents and pursue further education. Our Court actively promotes participation in the National Education Contest and supports educational growth through scholarships and recognition of local students.

The Family spoke encourages members to strengthen family life by praying, working, and playing together, and by loving and supporting one another in all they do.

The Leadership spoke encourages women to assume positions of leadership within the organization, parish, and community, while providing information and tools to assist them.

The Legislation spoke helps keep members informed on public issues that impact our quality of life and family values.

The Quality of Life spoke encompasses social awareness issues that affect families, communities, and the world.

The Spiritual Enhancement spoke inspires members, both as individuals and as a sisterhood, to deepen their relationship with God. Our Court lives this through regular prayer, devotions at meetings, parish involvement, and service rooted in our Catholic faith.

The Youth/JDCA spoke nurtures personal and spiritual growth while promoting service to others through activities and experiences for young people.

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Our Two Fold Purpose: Spirituality and Service

The integration of spirituality and service is the foundation of the Catholic Daughters.  The Catholic Daughters of America (CDA) helps women develop their spirituality and provides avenues of service to live out that spirituality.  The Catholic Daughters of America gives members a unique opportunity to share their faith with other Catholic women.  Helping others through charitable acts in the spirit of Jesus Christ is the heart of our organization. "Spirituality and Service" is the heart and soul foundation of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
